Deposit and Payment

Prices are subject to airline availability at the time of booking. Please forward a deposit of AUD500 per person to Expedition Exclusive (JLB Group Pty. Ltd.) or your travel agent to arrive within three days of receiving confirmation that the company is holding space for you.

By sending a deposit the client agrees to be bound by the terms, conditions and responsibilities set forth in this site. The client also agrees that:

  • All persons are fit and physically able to partake unaided in their chosen group tour as per the itinerary outlined in the Tour Details.
  • All persons travelling on a Fully Independent Tour are fit and physically able to partake unaided in their chosen itinerary.
  • All parties acknowledge the physical demands and hazards involved in the tour they will be undertaking and have chosen to participate at their own risk.
  • All parties understand that any medical or dietary information provided to Expedition Exclusive (JLB Group Pty. Ltd.) does not, under any circumstances, make

Expedition Exclusive liable if a particular condition exacerbates while on tour or affects their ability to participate in any portion of the tour.

The final balance of the travel arrangements is due at Expedition Exclusive no later than 60 days prior to the confirmed tour departure date as confirmed by acceptance of the booking. Please note that visa forms and passports will also be required at this time. Failure to pay in full by the due date may result in additional costs which will be passed on as a late payment fee of no less than AUD50 per booking or cancellation at the discretion of the company. Only once the full payment has been received, will any flights / local trains be confirmed. The price does not include cost of personal / trip cancellation / baggage insurance, transportation of excess baggage, all items of a personal nature such as laundry, alcoholic and soft drinks, tipping and any items not mentioned as specifically included. Expedition Exclusive reserves the right to request a partial payment of the final balance more than 60 days prior to departure (e.g. airfare portion) in the event that airline tickets need to be issued by our office or by our operators overseas due to airline ticketing time limits. Payments by credit card will incur a fee.


Before making a reservation, please ensure that the name on the reservation is the same as it appears on customer's passport. An error may result in a name change penalty or boarding being denied by the airline. Expedition Exclusive (JLB Group Pty. Ltd.) accepts no responsibility for checking name on the customers' travel documents. All additional requests including tour extensions will need to be confirmed and acknowledged by us prior to making full payment.

Once you have filled out your Reservation Form our team will contact you and reserve your place on our tour depending on your special requests and requirements. Please note that the prices listed are based on double occupancy. Single travellers are required to pay a single supplement fee, as listed in the tour terms.

Change & Cancellation

Cancellations by the Customers

If you wish to cancel your tour you must provide a Cancellation Notice by letter, email and send this to This notice must be received by us for the cancellation to be processed.

Cancellations made before flight tickets are issued will incur a $150 cancellation fee plus supplier penalty cost. Once the tour is guaranteed (flights have been confirmed and booked) payment received are 100% non-refundable.

All unused services during the tour, including hotel accommodation, ground transportation, domestic or international flights, meals, and sightseeing tours are neither refundable nor exchangeable.

If the customer has to cancel their trip within 60 days of departure due to illness, a medical condition or unforeseen circumstances, we will require this notification in writing from the customer. This will include

written proof from the known profession who sees fit for the customer not to travel E.G Doctors letter. We will submit refund request to suppliers on the customer's behalf. The cancellation penalty is subject to suppliers' decision.

A name change will be permitted, subject to airline terms and conditions, the airline fare rules and an additional fee by the airline will be incurred, which will be determined by the airline. An additional amendment fee of $100 per person is also charged from Expedition Exclusive (JLB Group Pty. Ltd.).

We advise all of our customers to take out travel insurance to protect themselves against the eventuality of a cancellation.

Booking Amendments

Amendments to confirmed and deposited itineraries outside of 30 days prior to departure, our service fee AUD60 per booking plus associated supplier cost will apply.

Amendments within 30 days of departure not permitted.

If We Make Changes

We reserve the right to change any of the details and correct any errors at any time. If any such changes are made before you have made your booking, we will advise you before we confirm your booking. The right is also reserved to change airline, aircraft types and vessels scheduled for any specific departure. Even after we have confirmed your booking, we may have to make alterations to confirmed arrangements and we reserve the right to alter the order of touring and modify itineraries at any time to ensure the smooth running of your tour. Most alterations will be minor and of little effect on your overall arrangements and while we will do our best to notify you of any such minor change before your departure (or as soon as possible if you have already departed), we will have no other liability to you

Health & Fitness

Travellers should have a basic level of physical fitness and mobility and must be able to negotiate uneven surfaces, climb stairs and board boats. Travellers are advised to check with their local health professional at least 45 days prior to departure, as some vaccinations require 30 days or more to be effective. Proof of vaccination is usually not required unless you are coming from an infected area.

We require a written notification prior to booking if you have any physical, emotional or mental conditions that may require professional attention during the course of your tour. If you require any special equipment such as a wheelchair you are responsible for providing this. Certain elements of our itineraries may not be wheelchair accessible and we cannot guarantee access or wheelchair assistance at our destinations. We reserve the right to decline a potential participant if, in our opinion, they have the potential to affect the health, safety and enjoyment of other participants.

Please familiarise yourself with potential travel, health and safety risks in the regions you wish to visit, prior to booking your tour. Expedition Exclusive (JLB Group Pty. Ltd.) is not responsible for checking safety and security conditions, vaccinations or additional health requirements in the regions you will visit or transit.

If you intend to travel to Tibet you are required to provide a doctor's certificate stating that you are fit to travel and that your blood pressure and heart condition are able to accommodate high altitudes.

We are unable to accommodate for women past their 6th month of pregnancy.


Expedition Exclusive (JLB Group Pty. Ltd.) is not responsible for personal injury, property damage or other loss a passenger incurs on any tour arising from acts or omissions by any air carrier, public transport company, hotel, car rental company, subcontractor or other person or organization, whether or not such company is rendering any services supplied on the tour. All tickets and vouchers are issued and supplied subject to the foregoing and to all terms and conditions under which transportation and services are provided. Expedition Exclusive (JLB Group Pty. Ltd.) accepts no responsibility for any circumstance amounting to force majeure including losses or expenses due to delay or changes in schedules, flight cancellations due to mechanical problems, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine, civil strife, riots, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire, flood, drought, government action, airport and port regulations and closures, technical transportation problems, maintenance to vessels, scheduling of transport and similar events outside our control. Passengers must bear all such losses or expenses. Expedition Exclusive (JLB Group Pty. Ltd.) reserves the right to decline, to accept or to return any person as a member of any tour or to cancel or alter the tour. Airline tariffs limit liability for passenger baggage. If you, or your agent, have made independent travel arrangements, you accept responsibility for joining our tour or arrangements independently and on time. We are not able to refund monies paid to us, or any third party acting on our or your behalf, or make compensation or other payments where, for whatever reason, you fail to join our tour or any arrangements made by us. When you book arrangements with us, you accept responsibility for the proper conduct of yourself and your party. If your actions or omissions cause damage to any property in the provision of the contracted arrangements, or cause delay or diversion to any flight or other means of transportation, you agree to pay any charges incurred.
